REBA Update on Registry of Deeds Closings

Here is the latest information available on the status of the registries. Thanks to Doug Brunner, Joel Stein, Noel Di Carlo and Carrie Rainen in assembling this information. Before recording, REBA members are encouraged to check with the registry as this is a constantly changing situation. 

Barnstable Registry is open for recordings only. No closings at the Registry or title research.

Berkshire Middle-building is closed but accepting recordings at the front door. They are e-recording.

Berkshire North is open-normal hours

Berkshire South is open-normal hours

Bristol Fall River (Joel Stein) Open to Public

Bristol North beginning March 19th will not permit closings in their main office in Taunton or the satellite office in Attleboro. They are open to e-recording and encourage it. On their website they have listed more information.   Bristol South (Joel Stein) Open to Public

Dukes open to recordings (Joel Stein)

Essex South Open (Joel Stein)

Essex North Open (Joel Stein)

Franklin County– closed but accepting e-recording and onsite recording if you call from downstairs of building

Hampden Registry of Deeds is closed in Hampden because the Court House is closed. They are open in Westfield. e-recordings are available.

Hampshire Recording only

Middlesex North-accepting e-filings only

Middlesex South is fully closed and a notice that no documents are being accepted. However, it appears e recordings are going on record. (Dominic Poncia)   Nantucket-Closed (Joel Stein)

Norfolk closed to public but accepting e-recordings or recording at door

Plymouth-Open to the public (Joel Stein)

Suffolk closed completely

Worcester North– open to Public

Worcester South– open for recordings
