Kaitlyn’s practice focuses on representing buyers, seller, lenders, investors, and developers in various real estate negotiations and transactions. She works to ensure a smooth and well informed transaction for all of her clients.
Being a Florida native, Kaitlyn obtained her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship in just three years from Florida State University. She went on to complete law school in just two years at Suffolk University of Law School, where she served as director of the Women’s Law Association.
Before discovering her passion for real estate law, Kaitlyn gained experience in various different areas of law, including corporate immigration and employment discrimination. Once she tried her hand at real estate law at a boutique real estate law firm in Boston, she quickly found it to be the perfect fit. “Thank you to Sonja, Kaitlyn, and the team at the Law Offices of Sonja B. Selami for their wonderful service and support during our two real estate closings. Their team displayed a commitment to ensuring our best interests were protected, explained the redlines and edits to the documents to confirm our understanding, and went out of their way to meet with us ahead of a snowstorm to enable documents to be signed on-time. Sonja and her team’s knowledge and expertise in real estate law made working with her team a truly enjoyable experience. We are grateful for the seamless and efficient handling of our transactions.” – Chris Trauzzi
“We’re from California and have little understanding of the Boston market. Sonja and her team of Kaitlyn Mitchell and Caroline Fraser hand-held us through the entire real estate purchasing process. The level of responsiveness and personal care that they put into this process with us will keep clients like my family continuing to come back for other services should the need arise in the future for wife and I, our children, and future generations. They have most definitely earned lifetime customers!”
“We worked with Kaitlyn on the purchase and sale agreement and closing on our first-time home purchase. They were quite thorough with making sure everything was in order and there were no hidden issues, and followed up with the seller on some missing documentation. Everything went really smoothly; definitely recommended!”
“It was a great experience working with Claire, Caroline and Kaitlyn! They are professional and treat client with respect. They are easily reachable via emails and calls, and answer my questions with patient. They made my home purchase process smooth and stress-free!”

The counsel, timely communication, and attention to detail is amazing! The team leader, Kaitlyn Mitchell, is in a league of her own!! My wife and I were thoroughly impressed by her wealth of knowledge, her diligence and her availability to answer our questions. She made the process seamless! If you are looking for a real estate lawyer / team look no further!”
“I had a wonderful experience with Sonja, Kaitlyn and Caroline on my home purchase! Everything was smooth and they did a wonderful job explaining everything.”
“I have just closed a deal with Kaitlyn Mitchell from law office of Sonja Selami @ Wellesley. The whole process was super smooth and efficient. Kaitlyn had always replied my emails in a timely manner. She understood my needs and protected my best interest in a very professional way. Lastly, I will give credit to Caroline from the financial team. The final closing disclosure was just perfect, the numbers were so accurate that there no back and forth to fix any error. I will definitely choose to work with Sonja’s law firm again in the future.”
